Cardinal Soccer Wrap-Up: Another Strong Season for SVC Men's and Women's Programs

The Skagit Valley College Women's Soccer Team, led by 10th-year head coach Tony Savoy, continued its tradition of excellence by earning its sixth consecutive postseason berth.
The Cardinals finished second in the NWAC North Region, ranked 6th overall in NWAC Women's Soccer, and earned a #10 national ranking from United Soccer Coaches.
In the first round of the NWAC Championships, the Cardinals defeated Centralia College in a dramatic shootout after a 1–1 tie in regulation and overtime. The team then traveled to face Spokane CC in the quarterfinals, falling in a hard-fought 2–1 match to the Sasquatch.

Coach Tony Savoy was also named NWAC North Region Coach of the Year, a well-deserved recognition of his leadership and program consistency.

The Skagit Valley College Men's Soccer Team, under fourth-year head coach Richard Henderson, also delivered an impressive campaign—advancing to the NWAC Championships for the second straight season.
The Cardinals finished third in the NWAC North Division, earned a #10 national ranking from United Soccer Coaches, and posted their most wins since 2014 with a strong 9-4-2 overall record.
In the first round of the NWAC Championships, the Cardinals fell to Tacoma CC, wrapping up a season marked by growth, grit, and major strides forward for the program.

The NWAC also announced its 2025  Soccer All-Star selections, featuring top players from across the conference. The All-Star Game will take place on November 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Starfire Stadium in Tukwila, WA. All postseason awards and All-Star selections are voted on by the head coaches within each respective region.
