SVC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Advance to NWAC Championships

SVC Men's and Women's Basketball Advance to NWAC Championships After 2nd Place North Division Finish

Both SVC Basketball programs are headed to the postseason after finishing 2nd in the North Division at the conclusion of the regular season.

The NWAC Sweet 16 and Elite 8 will take place March 4–7 in Pasco, WA at Columbia Basin College. If either team advances to the Final Four, those games will also be held March 13–15 at Columbia Basin College.

Men's Basketball
The Cardinals completed an outstanding regular season with a 26–3 overall record and were ranked #1 for much of the season. Their consistency, depth, and defensive intensity have positioned them as strong contenders entering the NWAC Tournament.

Women's Basketball
The Cardinals closed the season with tremendous momentum, finishing 15–13 overall and winning 11 of their final 14 games. Their late-season surge has them playing their best basketball at the right time.

We are currently awaiting the announcement of postseason honors and anticipate both programs earning multiple First Team and Second Team All-Conference recognitions.

Postseason Send-Off
Cardinal Athletics will host a postseason send-off for both programs on Tuesday, March 3rd at 1:15 PM in the Cardinal Center.

We invite SVC students, staff, faculty, and community members to join us as we send off our teams to compete for an NWAC Championship!
