Skagit Valley College
Asst. Coach Shane Jamison

Shane Jamison

Shane Jamison is an Assistant Baseball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Skagit Valley College, a position he has held since August of 2024. In his role, Jamison spearheads the program's recruiting efforts and oversees offensive development, utilizing his deep roots in the Pacific Northwest to attract and mentor top-tier talent. His coaching background includes two summers as the Head Coach for the Cascade Crush 18u and one summer coaching with City Baseball 15u, where he focused on the fundamental and technical progression of high-school-aged athletes.
Before moving into the coaching ranks, Jamison enjoyed a prolific collegiate career as a utility player across the NWAC, WAC, and GNAC. He began his journey at Lower Columbia College, where he was a key contributor to the Red Devils' 2019 NWAC Championship team. During that title season, Jamison earned First Team All-West Region honors after batting .339 with 39 RBIs, helping LCC to an impressive 40-9 record. He remained a central figure for the program through the 2020 season, solidifying his reputation as one of the region's top offensive threats.
His success continued at the Division I level with Seattle University, where he holds the single-season batting average record after hitting .388 in 2021—a performance that also earned him the Seattle U Offensive MVP award. Jamison concluded his playing days at Northwest Nazarene University, where he was a Second Team All-GNAC selection in 2023 after starting all 53 games and leading the Nighthawks in multiple offensive categories.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Seattle University and a Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics from Northwest Nazarene University.
Originally from Lummi Island, Washington, Jamison was a first-team all-state selection at Sehome High School. He comes from a strong athletic lineage; his father, Adam, ran track at Western Washington University, and his grandfather played football at Whitman College.
