The Skagit Men's and Women's Tennis teams hosted the NWAC tournament May 5th and 6th at the SVC tennis facility.
The Skagit men finished in third place with
Christian Davis finishing 3rd in men's #1 singles, Charles Stelling 4th in men's #2 singles,
Matt Irving 3rd in men's #3 singles,
Naoki Motomuro 3rd in men's #4 singles,
Mohammad Khan 3rd in men's #5 singles, and Kay Overberg 3rd in men's #6 singles. In men's doubles
Christian Davis and Charles Stelling took 3rd in men's #1 doubles,
Mohammad Khan and
Matt Irving took 3rd in #2 doubles and
Naoki Motomuro and Kay Overberg finished in 3rd in #3 doubles. Bellevue won the team title with Spokane finishing 2nd.
The women's team finished the NWAC tournament in 4th place behind Bellevue, Highline and Spokane. In #1 singles Carlie Newman finished 4th, Rinka Kawauchi finished 3rd in #3 singles, and Brittany DeNike was 3rd at #4 singles. Carlie Newman and Mackenzie Perry finished 4th in #1 doubles and Rinka Kawauchi and Brittany DeNike finished 3rd in #2 doubles.
