Daniel Graber begins his 20th year as the Men’s and Women’s golf teams here at Skagit Valley College. Coach Graber has led the men to 1 conference championship, 7 runner-up finishes in the conference, and 8 regional championships. The women’s team has had 3 top-3 finishes in the conference, and 4 regional championships. We have also had many individual awards throughout the years.
Coach Graber's philosophy as a coach is a pretty simple one. He would like the players to have the best experience possible, while representing the school well and increasing their chance of playing at the next level. I focus my energy on the players’ mental outlook on the game and strategies to win tournaments. I also enjoy working with students on their academic goals and do the best that I can to keep them focused on the classroom. Coach Graber is also a Math professor at the college.
"I really like the players to become a team built around mutual trust and respect for each other, and I have had the most success when the players become a close-knit group of friends that put forth their best effort for the team. We spend a lot of time with each other throughout the season, and many relationships that have been formed will continue well beyond these players’ golf careers".
