Skagit Valley College Men's Basketball: Pursuing History at the NWAC Basketball Championships this Weekend. 

The Skagit Valley College Men's Basketball team is on the brink of history as they gear up to compete for the college's third NWAC Championship this weekend, March 16-17, at the NWAC Basketball Championships in Pasco. The last time Skagit Valley College clinched the NWAC Title was in 1988 under the leadership of NWAC Hall of Fame Coach Dave Quall, who secured two Championships for the college in '84 and '88. Now, the team, led by their dynamic roster and determined coaching staff, is poised to etch their names into the annals of SVC basketball lore.

This marks the fourth time in school history that an SVC Men's Basketball team has advanced to the Final 4 of the NWAC Championships, a testament to the team's tenacity and skill. Throughout the season, they have showcased their talent and resilience, overcoming obstacles and rising to the occasion when it mattered most.

Finishing an impressive second in the North Division, the team boasts an impressive record of 26-6 on the season, a testament to their consistency and competitive spirit. Their journey to the Final 4 has been marked by hard-fought victories and memorable performances, setting the stage for an electrifying showdown in Pasco. For the past 5 seasons Cardinals Head Coach, Carl Howell has had a winning record each year with an impressive 26 wins and counting this year. Coach Howell has led his teams to a Top Finish and advanced to the Post-Season 4 out of his 5 years with an Elite 8 and Final 4 appearance. 

On Saturday, March 16th, at 2 pm, the Skagit Valley College Men's Basketball team will face off against Tacoma Community College in the Semifinal game at Columbia Basin College in Pasco, Washington.
