Skagit Valley Softball Eyes Late-Season Push After Overcoming Adversity

SVC Softball Showing Resilience Under First-Year Head Coach Lance Lopez

In his first season at the helm, Head Coach Lance Lopez, along with assistants Savannah Smith and Riley Anderson, has played a key role in guiding Skagit Valley College Softball through a season filled with challenges. Despite facing a number of setbacks, including injuries midseason, the coaching staff has remained steady in their support of the program and its student-athletes.

The Cardinals have battled through adversity and currently sit with three conference wins, with 15 games remaining on the schedule. Many of those contests come as rescheduled matchups, but with the team now returning to full strength, SVC has an opportunity to make a strong push in a competitive North Division.

  • Monday, May 4 – at Douglas | 11:00 AM & 1:00 PM
  • Tuesday, May 5 – at Pierce | 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM
  • Friday, May 8 – HOME vs. Shoreline | 3:00 PM (Single game)
  • Saturday, May 9 – HOME vs. Shoreline | 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM (Sophomore Appreciation Night) 

With a full slate ahead and momentum building, the Cardinals are focused on finishing the season strong.
