Mallory is the definition of a leader — always working hard, leading by example, competing with passion, and showing resilience and positivity in every environment. She consistently served as a vocal leader and supportive teammate who elevated those around her both on and off the court. In Volleyball, she was one of the team's captains and was viewed as the "glue player" who contributed in every aspect of the program and team culture.
Beyond athletics, Mallory's character, professionalism, and commitment to her future goals continue to stand out. She aspires to become a math teacher and has represented Skagit Valley College with integrity, humility, and leadership throughout her time as a Cardinal. Her impact on teammates, coaches, and the SVC community has been truly special.
Treyshawn Weatherspoon has been named the 2026 Co-Male Athlete of the Year following a historic season leading Cardinal Men's Basketball to a 30–3 overall record and the program's first NWAC Championship since 1988.
Treyshawn earned NWAC Tournament MVP honors and was recognized as the North Region Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-North Region, and First Team NABC NWAC All-American. He finished the season as the NWAC leader in assists (234) and steals (101) while also ranking fifth in scoring at 20.2 points per game. He additionally earned NWAC Player of the Week honors twice during the season.
In the classroom, Treyshawn excelled academically with a 3.8 GPA, including a perfect 4.0 during Winter Quarter. His leadership, work ethic, and commitment to excellence helped establish the culture for one of the best teams in school history. Treyshawn represented Skagit Valley College with tremendous pride and professionalism throughout his time as a Cardinal and will continue his academic and athletic career this fall at Central Washington University on an athletic scholarship.
Co-Male Athlete of the Year – Logan Medcalf
Logan Medcalf has been named the 2026 Co-Male Athlete of the Year following one of the greatest individual seasons in Skagit Valley College Men's Golf history. Logan helped guide the Cardinals to their second NWAC Championship and first since 2005 while also capturing the 2026 NWAC Individual Championship.
Logan earned Baden NWAC Player of the Year honors and posted one of the most dominant seasons in program history. He won medalist honors in five of the seven tournaments the Cardinals competed in this season and recorded both the lowest single-round score (66) and lowest tournament score (-11) in school history. His scoring average finished nearly two strokes better than the conference runner-up.
Beyond his accomplishments on the course, Logan's character, humility, and leadership made a lasting impact on the entire Cardinal Golf program. He consistently supported teammates and competitors alike, always offering encouragement and positivity. Logan balanced a nearly full-time work schedule at Loomis Trail Golf Course while commuting from the Ferndale area and maintaining close to a 3.0 GPA. He also supported team fundraising and community efforts throughout the year. Logan's professionalism, work ethic, and leadership made him an inspiration to everyone connected to Cardinal Athletics.
